Homologation consists of the official recognition of academic degrees to the corresponding official Spanish degrees. This recognition includes the process of homologation of a foreign university degree to a Spanish university degree, or the equivalence of a foreign degree to a equivalence to an academic level and to the degree corresponding to a specific area and field, as the case may be. Similarly, high school diplomas can also be subject to homologation or equivalence, if applicable, so that you can have the option of accessing a Spanish university. For this kind of process it is not mandatory that you reside in Spain.
